Women’s Division of The Farmers’ Union
BUSINESS OF MONTHLY MEETING Mrs. J. M. Graham, the president, presided over a good attendance at the monthly meeting of the Woodville Women's Division of the Farmers’ Union on Tuesday evening. Apologies were received from Mesdames Edgar Harding, G. L. B. Whillans, D. McKinlay, Misses M. Harding and Hanaray. The Woodville Young Farmers' Club wrote gratefully acknowledging the assistance of the division with tho refreshments at their recent field day. Members of the division also agreed to superintend the supper arrangements at the Young Farmers' Club dance next week. j A proposal from Mesdames J. Halpin and G. Whillans that a sales table be conducted each month was adopted. The funds are to benefit by 3d in every shilling turnover. Votes of sympathy to Mrs. A. Davidson and Miss P. Meredith who are both in hospital were recorded and letters are to be sent to them. A competition was won by Mrs. C. Binder, Palmerston North.
