From Our Own CorresDonfient Methodist Ladies’ Guild At the annual meeting of the Methodist Ladles' Guild there was a record attend- ; ance, members of the Bunnythorpe 1 Ladies’ Guild being also in attendance. The report and balance-sheet were pre- : seated, showing a sound year’s working, | the guild now being in the position of j having a credit balance of £l9 14s 2d. The
gifts of clothing lor the Maori work are to l be brought in at the next meeting. The church anniversary tea and evening 1 entertainment was arranged and is to be i carried out by members of the guild at an • early date. Mr. J. H. Sumner was invited s to attend this meeting to put before the j members the position in reference to the alterations to the parsonage, which the officials of the church consider are neces- i sary. The position was discussed and a meeting of the congregation is to be callled shortly. The committee elected for tho (coming year is as follows: President. Mrs. Alan Currie; vice-presidents, Mesdames
Shaw and Flowers; secretary and treasurer, Mrs. W. Brewer; missionary secretary, Mrs. H. Woodroofe: representative to quarterly meeting, Mrs. W. Peek; organist, Mrs. D. Maul. Afternoon tea served. Personal ! Mr. and Mrs. H. Tremewan and daughter are visitors to Mrs. Tremewan, snr. f Pohangina Road, Ashhurst.
