Junior Chamber Delegates Welcomed
INTEREST IN SENIOR BODY A welcome was extended at last evening’s meeting of the Palmerston North Chamber of Commerce to representatives of the Junior Chamber by the chairman, Mr. H. L. Cunninghame, who said it was gratifying to find young men in the town taking an interest in the Junior Chamber and to have them definitely forming a junior body in tho city. Great work was being done in other towns by junior chambers and he felt they could do a great deal to assist the senior chamber. Mr. P. B. Davidson, chairman of the Junior Chamber, replying, said they had been asked to co-operate with the senior chamber. Anything they could do they would be very pleased to carry out. Tho chamber agreed to permit the junior chamber to send four delegates to each meeting, two to be permanent and the others to be changed for each meeting to allow as many as possible to become familiar with tho procedure of the senior body. In response to a request that publicity be given to the discussions of the junior chamber, it was decided to allow tho matter to stand over until the junior body had been functioning for some months. Messrs. A. Beattie and P. B. Davidson were appointed permanent delegates from the junior chamber.
