Regulated Food Imports
EMPIRE ORGANISATION FORESHADOWED United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright LONDON, April 3. The Minister of Agriculture, Sir Reginald Dorman Smith, in a public speech, foreshadowed a national organisation for regulating food imports from which an Empire, and eventually a world, organisation might grow up.
He said that British policy should be directed at ensuring an ample food supply to Britain, with the realisation that the interests of producers and consumers were identical.
