Rumanian Acceptance Of British Guarantee
NEGOTIATIONS WITH TURKEY AND GREECE United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyrlabt. PARIS, April 3. It is stated on good authority that Rumania has agreed to accept a British guarantee which might take tho form of a military agreement under which Poland and Rumania would also receive unlimited supplies of munitions and warplanes from the Soviet in the event of aggression. England and Rumania are now negotiating with Turkey and Greece with a view to completing the defensive system. NAVAL AS WELL AS ARMAMENT NEEDS? COMMITMENTS TO RUMANIA (British Official Wireless.) Received Tuesday, 6.20 p.m. RUGBY, April 3. In view of the discussions with the Polish Foreign Minister, Colonel Beck, the Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Mr. R. A. Butler, declined to make a statement on the present position at Danzig in reply to a House of Commons question. Answering another question, he said the British Government was prepared at all times to give sympathetic consideration to the possibility of meeting the naval as well as other armament requirements of Rumania.
