Five More Blind People
DOMINION’S INCREASE FOR ONE YEAR Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Last Night. An increase of only live in the number of blind people in New Zealand reported at the New Zealand Institute for the Blind occurred during the past year, according to the report of the acting director received at the annual meeting of contributors. The report said the number of blind people registered was 1185. The number of people at the institute was 177. Subscriptions for the year showed a decrease of £6OO, being £4683 as against £5297 last year. Bequests for the year totalled £14,075, as against £6736 the previous year. There wore, however, frequently life beneficiaries in such bequests so that in many cases the institute received no benefit from them for a long time.
