Compulsory Military Training Favoured

BY KIWITEA COUNTY COUNCIL At its meeting on Wednesday the Kiwitea County Council received a deputation from the Feilding branch of the New Zealand Defence League, comprising Messrs. W. H. McLean and G. M. Moffitt. The speakers stressed the importance of an adequate and trained defence system and outlined the aims and objects of the league. The council decided after hearing the speakers to support the attitude of the league and expressed itself in a resolution as being in favour of compulsory military training. The council is to forward a copy of its resolution to the Hon. Minister of Defence.
