CHAMPIONSHIP COMPETITIONS Results of games played to date in the Pahiatua Lawn Tennis Club’s chanfpionship and handicap competitions are the following:— Men’s championship singles.—First round: G. M. Swainson beat L. D. Lovelock, 6—3, 6—l; Second round: J. G. Swainson beat R. K. Bamford, 6—l, 6—2. Men’s intermediate championship.— Second round: J. D. Thomson beat M. Connell, 11—9. Senior women’s championship singles. —Second round: Mrs. T. Harvey beat Mrs. R. K. Bamford, 6 —o, 6—2. Men’s handicap singles.—Second round: P. M. Lusk (22) beat H. A. Gardner (16), CO—s7„
