Childrens Paddling Pool
SUGGESTION APPROVED Following on tho reading of the works committee’s report at Monday night’s Borough Council meeting, Cr. Carthew made the suggestion that an addition be made at the baths in the shape of a paddling pool for small children. This would fit into the grass triangle, and could be done very cheaply under the No. 13 scheme. Children would thus be induced to come to the baths at an early age and get into the habit of going. At present they would have to look after themselves in three fet of water, which prevented many from going. He moved a recommendation to the works committee to go into the question and bring down an estimate of the cost. After some discussion, an amendment was carried, that the baths and recreation committee bo asked to bring down a report, after which the question of location could be considered.
