Advice has been received from Masterton that Mr. W. T. Grundy, who was for 27 years headmaster of the Clyde Quay School, Wellington, died there on Monday, states a Press Association message. Mr. Grundy had spent nearly 50 years of his life school teaching in the Dominion ana was an outstanding figure in the realm of education. After six months at Mt. Cook (Wellington), Mr. Grundy was transferred to Mastetton as headmaster of the school there, and remained there for nine years, when, on tho building of Clyde Quay School he was appointed to the headmastership, a position he retained for more than 27 years, finally retiring in 1917,
