FIRST CLAIM.
The defence counsel was cross examining the witness, a lovely blond* with big blue eyes. “Where were you,” he thundered, 44 on Monday night?” The blonde smiled sweetly. “Out for a run in a car. ” “And where were you,” bellowed the counsel, “on Tuesday night?” 44 Out for a run in a car,” repeated tho lovely one. The counsel leaned closer. 4 * And what,” ho said, 44 are you doing tomorrow night?” Prosecuting counsel leaped to his feet. “Your Honour,” he protested, “I object to tha£ question.” “And why do you object?” inquired the Judge. “Because,” said the prosecutor, “1 asked, her first.”
