Obituary

MR. C. KEBBELL. One of the oldest residents of the Alfredton district, Mr. Cecil Kebbell. died on Sunday at tho age of 72 years. Mr. Kebbell, who was born in Welling ton, was a leading member of St. Aiden’s Church, having occupied the positions of vicar’s warden and secre tary. For many years ho was a mem her of the Masterton County Counci, and was president of the Alfredton Rifle Club and the golf club. In 1887 he was elected a member of the Master ton Club and had been associated with it ever since. For two years during the war ho was a voluntary Red Cross worker and an umbulance driver in France.

Mr. Kebbell is survived by a widow, a son, Mr. M. A. Kebbell (Ashhufst), and two daughters, Mesdames D. Hinde (Kenya, Africa) and Arthur Htrutt (Derby, England). A brother, Mr, Richard Kebbell, lives at Lower Ilutt.
