Observatory to be Built at Wellington
BEQUEST FOR PURPOSE MADE IN 1896 Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. Tho Carter Observatory Bill, which was read the first time in tho House today makes provision for the establishment of an astronomical observatory in Wellington in accordance with the bequest mado by the late Mr. Carter, who died in 1896 leaving an estate of £2240 for the purpose. The bequest was now worth about £13,000.
