Waite rocorded the highest score of the tour, j Several - good English wickets fell' cheaply, Waite and Ward causing the collapso which was arrested by AmcsJ He immediately struck lino form and mado a sparkling 50 in 45 minutes. Ward, who was giving his most ini-! pressive performance of the tour, continued to bowl magnificently. O'Reilly dismissing Alfred Pope took his hundredth wicket of the tour. G. Pope hit usefully, whilo the tailenders were dismissed within an hour. McCabe, with a boundary off Wilkinson, reached his thousand runs for the tour. He scored with a glorious array of hooks, pulls and drives, and batted 75 minutes during which he made 91 of a total of 439. His score included
