The Christchureh Baud Coutest Com mittee having declined lo run tho New Zealand Brass Bands’ Association’s annual contest in Christchurch in 1939, u moeting of citizens of Christchurch presided over by tho Mayor, Mr. R. M. MacFarlane, was hold to-day and a new committee of 28 citizens was set up. It was decided unanimously to adopt the terms of the New Zealand Brass Bands’ Association for tho contest.
