Christchurch to Hold Dominion Band Contest
NEW COMMITTEE REVERSES PREVIOUS DECISION CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. The Christchureh Baud Coutest Com mittee having declined lo run tho New Zealand Brass Bands’ Association’s annual contest in Christchurch in 1939, u moeting of citizens of Christchurch presided over by tho Mayor, Mr. R. M. MacFarlane, was hold to-day and a new committee of 28 citizens was set up. It was decided unanimously to adopt the terms of the New Zealand Brass Bands’ Association for tho contest.
