SOME MASCULINE STYLES FOR A CHANGE

The accent in men’s dressing in the coming season is on the V silhouette—ail extended shoulder line tapering to the waist, and colour. Four new fashions for men are illustrated here. On the left is shown a double-breasted hopsack suit of Derby grey, featuring the latest London cut with four buttons and wide lapels, half lined. The shirt is storm green, the tie rifle green and there is a matching English silk handkerchief. Tartan green socks with black shoes and Derby grey hat complete the outfit. The white dinner jacket is London made by Chester Barrie. It is a four-button, drape model, with long roll shawl collar. With it is worn Palm Beach lightweight dress trousers, a soft fancy pique dress shirt and carnation red tie, handkerchief, buttonhole, braces and sox. The links and studs are of the same colour. The lad with the golf stick is clad in grey worsted trousers, blue slub linen shirt and pullover to match. The trousers feature an American waistband and non-slip ring fastening belt. The tie is one-piece Miami and the hat astrakhan finish fur felt with self band. The shoes are attractive Florsheim sports in black and white. The handkerchief is solid colour pure linen with hand-rolled edge. The outfit is designed for active sports. Lastly comes the spectator sports outfit shown on the extreme right. The Chester Barrie sports coat shows the wide drape from accentuated shoulders. The lapels are high and the cut gives a pleasant fullness. The sports trousers are of grey worsted, shirt champagne coloured, ribbed red silk tie and pullover and socks are to match. The shoes are tan and cream sports and the hat a genuine Willow Reed folder style. Dog and sporting motifs are emphasised in the silk squares (above) and in cuff Jinks (below).
