From Our Own Correspondent. At tho annual meeting of the suppliers of the Glaxo Factory, Air J. W. Clevely presided over a fair attendance. The chairman reported on the activities of the committee last season and the balancesheet was adopted. The price offered by the company was considered and other matters of interest were left in the hands of the committee. The services rendered by the official tester, Air R. James, were referred lo by the chairman. The following committee were elected: Alessrs J. W. Clevely, .1. O’Donnell, R. Janies, D. Heggie, W. Anderson, A. O’Donnell and F. A. AlcKenzie; official tester, Air R. James; auditor, Air W. B. Duthie. The chairman referred to the death of Air F. J. Nathan, who had been closely associated with the suppliers, and spoke of the high regard fn which he had been held. Tno suppliers had lost a good friend. It was decided to send a letter of condolence to Airs. Nathan and family. Reference was also made to the death of Mr J. Thomas, a supplier to Ahe factory for many years, and a letter of condolence is also to be sent to Airs Thomas and family. The suppliers met Air H. E. Pacey at a meeting held at the Glaxo Factory recently. The chair wa.s taken by Air J. W Clevely, who welcomed Air Pacey and referred to the good relationship existing between the suppliers and the company. Air Pacey thanked them for their . welcome asd referred to the general market conditions and the improved prices obtaining overseas. Increased production costs had caused some anxiety to the company, while at the same time it was difficult to foretell exactly tho conditions that would prevail for the oncoming season, but the outlook was quite promising The suggestion was put forward that the suppliers could improve the quality ol their milk by the installation of coolers. In this respect the company would bo prepared to assist. During the drying period the payout would be 18d. and over the year 17.614 d., which showed a bonus payment of 2.98 d. It was decided to carry out the same arrangements for the coming season, which would compare favourably with any part of New Zealand. A number of questions were answered by Air Pacey'. On the motion of the chairman (Air Clevely) a hearty vote of thanks was accorded Air Pacey. At the close or the meeting, supper was supplied by the ladies of the new hall committee, the proceeds helping to swell their funds. Miniature Rifle Shooting. The foliowing scores were recorded on the miniature range at the practice shoot: E. Bailey 139, G. Rosebrook 123, G. Wiggins 138, Jfc-X. Hughes 133. A. Pedersen 128, R. Osborne 138, J. McCauley 136, F. Cox 135, R. Gore 133, R. McAlurray 136. Personal. Airs and Miss Findlay, of Gisborne, are the guests of Mr and Airs R. C. Poweli, Roberts line. Air J. Russell has returned home from hospital. Mrs Alarfell, of Auckland, with her small son, is on a visit to her parents, Air and Mrs A. Guy. The eighth birthday of the Buunythorpe Women’s Institute will take place on Wednesday afternoon, when members and their friends will be entertained at a social afternoon.

Alesdames Tomlinson, Alartinl and Donald arranged a pleasant social afternoon last Saturday. There was an excellent attendance at this enjoyable function ana quite a considerable sum Was raised. The fortnightly euchre and dance, held at "Flaxbourne," Newbury line, was again well attended. The euchre winners were; Ladies, Airs R. C. Powell 1. Mrs A. Faulkner 2; men, Mr Perrin I, Air Cheetbam 2.
