Victorian State Budget
SURPLUS OF £30,000 United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. MELBOURNE, Aug. 3. The State Budget presented by tne Premier, Mr. Dunstan, to-day, shows a surplus for the year of £30,000 aud forecasts a surplus for 1938-39 of £12,000. The only tax reduction is six per cent, on the unemployment relief tax. Unemployment tax reduction in the last Budget was 20 per cent. For 1937-33 this tax yielded £1,934,000.
