WOMAN CHOSEN FOR REMUERA SEAT Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Last Night. Although official endorsement has yet to be received it is understood that the postal ballots conducted by the Auckland Labour Representation Committee during the past week have resulted in Mr. W. T. Anderton, the sitting member, being chosen as the Labour candidate for the Eden seat at the general election, and Mrs. M. M. Dreaver being selected by the same party for Remuera, formerly the Parnell electorate. STRATFORD LABOUR CANDIDATE WITHDRAWS ON MEDICAL ADVICE NEW PLYMOUTH, Last Night. Mr. A. L. Ogilvy, the Labour candidate for the Stratford seat, is ill and has withdrawn from the contest. It is understood Mr. J. W. McMillan, former Mayor of Stratford, will be a candidate, though that has to be given official approval. It is understood Mr. Ogilvy has suffered severe heart trouble and has withdrawn on medical advice.
