“Journey’s End”
EFFECTS IN EXPERT HANDS The Palmerston North Operatic and Dramatic Society is very fortunate that in tho staging of “Journey’s End” in the near future they will have export assistance in the production of the effocts. Mr. P. Chase, who lives in Pal merston North, travelled through New Zealand with the professional evening which introduced the play to the Dominion some years ago. In each tour he was in charge of the incidental noises and lighting effects and his previous experience will be an undoubted boon to the society, as this will play a big part in the success of the production. Tho rehearsals have already reached an advanced stage and under the expert guidance of Mr. F. Cousins, members of the cast have been well instructed in their work. “Journey’s End” deals in graphic fashion with the stress and strain of front line life during the Great War and every line of the dialogue is full of interest. All the men who are taking part have had extensive experience in straight stage work, four appearing in the recent production of “The Queen’s Husband.”, Box xflans for the general public will open on Tuesday.
