Deaf and Dumb Woman Seriously Injured

STRUCK BY RAILCAR Per Press Association. HOKITIKA, Lats Night. A railcar near Three Mile ran into a deaf and dumb middle-aged wonlati, who was crossing from a private house over the railway line to the main road. In spite of prompt braking by the car driver, the woman was struck heavily, suffering serious dislocation of the right knee, a lacerated right leg, lacer ated scalp and geueral bruising. She was removed to the Westland Hospital, where her condition is reported as fair.
