SEQUEL TO REMARKS AT COUNCIL MEETING Per Press Association. INVERCARGILL, Last Night. A defence to Mr. Alfred William Jones’ writ claiming £SOO damages from tho Mayor, Mr. John Miller, for alleged slander, was filed in tho Supreme Court to-day.
