Young Men Missing in Hills

ON DEER-STALKING EXPEDITION Anxiety is felt for tho aafoty of two young men who left Palmerston North on Saturday morning on a deer stalking expedition in tho hills at tho back of Linton. They are Arthur Regan, of 145 Main street, and Hugh Bowler, of 48 Argyle avonue. They were cxpocted back in time for tea on Saturday but had not put in an appearance when darkness fell last night. The car in which they made part of the journey was discovered parked on Green’s road, Linton, yesterday. Two parties of three men each went into the hills yesterday to look for the missing men but they were hampered by rain and the heavy mist which prevented them from seeing any great, distance. This morning fruther parties are to go into the hills both from Palmerston North and Pahiatua. It is stated that Bowler has done a fair amount of deerstalking and is experienced in the bush.
