Loans for House Building

STARR BOWKETT SOCIETY. At the monthly meeting of the Board of Directors, Mr. D. F. Bmillio presided. Other directors present were Messrs J. B. Gerrand, H. F. Wilson, F. Jackson, M. A. Eliott, and 8. W. Rapley. Ballots for return of subscriptions were held in group 4, the successful members being Mr J. H. Tregca, Hawera, Mrs J. B. Watchorn, Palmerston North, and Mr H. V. Young, Palmerston North.

A ballot was held in group 6, the successful member being Miss It. Denson, Wellington, who secured a loan of £SOO.

Business was conducted in all groups. Loans of £SOO in group 7 and £SOO ana £2OO in group 8 were approved on valuation, and a deposit of a ballot of £SOO in the Post Office Savings Bank was approved.

Satisfaction was expressed at the response for shares in group 11 and it was hoped to launch this group at the next meeting.
