Visiting Lady Cricketers to Play “ Kowhai ” Saturday

Following is the team which will meet the Wellington junior representatives in the last cricket match of the season, to be played on the oval at the Sportsground on Saturday afternoon: — Judy Christian (captain), S. Heath, B. Hickin, L. McKenzie, D. Kingsbeer, C. Millar, Josephine Christian, L. Dalton, J. Gallagher, A. Gardner, I. Christian. Umpires: Messrs T. Hornibrook and W. Hubbard. The ladies are very keen cricketers and are to be seen each night practising under the able coaching of Messrs J. Mitchell and T. Hornibrook. This game will be the most interesting of the season. The visitors are to be guests of the Kowhai team at a dance on Saturday evening.
