From Our Own Correspondent. Rifle Club.
The Cheltenham Rifle Club held its annual meeting on Tuesday, Mr J. Fraser presiding. The election of officers resulted as follows: Patron, Mr C. Dermer; president. Mr J. H. Williamson: vice-presi-dents, Messrs J. C. Williamson, S. Mayhew and J. Fraser; secretary, Mr R. E. Stuart; treasurer, Mr A. V. Burrow; range officer, Mr i\ Churclier; handicapper, Mr J. Fraser; committee, Messrs P. Churcher, A. V. Barrow, S. Mayhew. F. Whitehead, j.' C. Williamson. Class firing will take place on April 23, commencing at 12.30 p.m. It was decided to commence the competition lor the championship belt on April 30. Mr J. Fraser, the retiring president, was accorded a hearty vote of thanks and appreciation for his .services to the club during his term of office. Votes of thanks were also accorded Messrs A. A. Stevenson and J. Gawne for the donation of trophies. Arrangements were made for several improvements to the club. The Cheltenham Cribbage Club held its annual meeting on Saturday night, when representation at the Association meeting was arranged. Intending players should get in touch with Mr J. C. Corkill as soon as possible. The following Cheltenham children have earned swimming certificates since the school opened in February: Ltfrner’s certificate. Ann Booth, Betty Booth; proficiency certificate, Ruth Taylor. Ann Booth; merit certificates, Ray Barrow, Hazel Murray, Patricia Dunstan, Ronald Booth, Selwyn Shannon, Dassin Dunstan, Alex Finlayson,
