From Oar Own Corresnor.Jent. Miniature Rifle Club. The retiring president, Mr E. Green, presided ever the annual meeting o t the Sandon Miniature Rifle Club. When presenting the annual balance sheet, the secretary stated thit although the credit balance was small, there was still a good supply of ammunition in hand, and that the club had been subjected to heavy expense last year In buying new barrels for rifles. The election <*f officers resulted as follows: Patrorf, Mr W. A. Lumsden; president, Mr J. l\ Fagan; secretary and treasurer, Mr R. .Meyer; vice-presidents. Messrs K. M. Pearce, A. K. Drew, Ken Lumsden, Eric Green and R. Nicol; coaches. Messes K. Pearce, E. Green and \V. A. Lumsden; selectors. Messrs Keith Lumsden, K. At. Pearce, It. Meyer; markers. Messrs K Meyer, M. Pearce, J. C. Fagan, Keith Lumsden; executive committee, Messrs J. Palmer, H. Henson and K. Henson; hon. auditor, Mr C. P. Good; delegates to M.M.K.A.. Messrs R. Meyer, K. M Pearce, J- C. Fagan; delegates to attend meeting convened by hall committee, Messrs Keith Lumsden. H. Henson, and W. Mahon. It was resolved to affiliate with the Manawatu and X.Z. Rifle Associations. The opening night was fixed for April 11. The delegates to the Association meeting were instructed to support a movement to secure a Government grant for ammunition, etc., for miniature rifle clubs. The club championship is to be decided on the best 20 club shoots of the season. Mr H. Henson was selected to arrange for all competition shoots. Messrs J. C. Fagan, R. Meyer and E. Green were appointed a committee to go into the question of providing suitable trophies for weekly shoots. Sports Club. At a meeting of the executive of the Sanson Sports Club, a letter from the Sanson hall committee in connection with alterations to the main hall, was discussed. It was resolved to recommend members to support the proposal to shift the wall out 10 feet, and to lend their assistance to raise the necessary funds. Messrs Lawrence. Kilpatrick and Drew were appointed the club's delegates to the meeting convened by the hall committee. Personal. Mrs W. Drummond Is visiting Greytown. Ti e friends of Mrs G. W. Richardson will be pleased to learn that she is making excellent progress after her recent serious operation
