From Our Own Correspondent. Euchre and Dance. The Fitzherbert East school jubilee committee held a successful euchre and dance • m Saturday evening. Tne winners or the euchre tournament were Miss M. Anderhon and Mr Wm. Anderson. Senr.. while the consolation winners were Miss L. Davey and Mr C. Brill. The prizes were donated by Messrs Ferguson. Greves and R. Andrews. A Monte Carlo waltz was won by Miss J. Brill and Mr T. KilgarifC (Tiritca). The music for dancing was supplied by Miss M. Anderson and Mr R. Brill. Settlers* Meeting. A general meeting of the school jubilee committee and settlers was held on Tuesdav evening last, when Mr A. Ferguson presided. A tentative programme was drawn up, and the committee was given power to amend same if necessary. in order to provide funds to finance l“ e jubilee it was decided to hold a stock drive, and the following were appointed collector?: Messrs W. Anderson, benr., J. Petersen, A. Ferguson and K. W. t tern Social functions will be continued throughout the year. It was decided to form an executive of two ladies and two gent emen to act in conjunction with the chairman and secretary. Mr and Mi's Wm. Anderson, Mr and Mrs L. Craven, together with Mr A. Ferguson (chairman), Mr lHopcroft (secretary) and Miss L. Gougn (assistant secretary), were elected to form the executive. A general meeting will be advertised at a later date.
