Instead We Will Fight
CZECHOSLOVAKIAN ATTITUDE DEMONSTRATIONS IN AMERICA Received Tuesday, 7.5 p.m. WASHINGTON, March 15. The Czech Minister, M. Hurban, called ou the Under Secretary of State, Mr. Welels, and said Czechoslovakia would not follow the example of Austria and would not bow to German pressure. “Instead," he said, “we will fight." Mr. Cordell Hull told the Press that conditions in Europe had not reached the point at which the United States could reach a policy. The police arrested 25- demonstrators before the German Embassy. Herr Dieckhoff refused to receive a delegation from the demonstrators. Four persons were arrested before the Austrian Legation. GERMANY WAITING Received Tuesday, 5.5 p.m. NEW YORK, March 14. The former American Ambassador to Germany, Mr. Dodd, said the union of Germany and Austria created the most solid front in the world. Herr Hitler was awaiting only another convenient moment to invade Czechoslovakia.
