New French Cabinet
BLUM SPEEDING-UP TO FACE CRISIS United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. PARIS, March 11. M. Blum, the Socialist leader, tvho has undertaken to form a Cabinet, announces that he is speeding-up the formation of his Cabinet because of the vital need of internal stability to face the critical situation in Austria. The fa miliar phenomenon of French party politics giving way before signs of national danger has begun to show. It would not be surprising if France to-morrow had a Government on a broad foundation for the first time in months. An earlier cable reported: M. Blum is awaiting the decision of the Radical Socialists. If they are favourable he will be enabled to form a Cabinet on the Basis of exclusion of the Communists, who have agreed upon a compromise by which French trade-union leaders will become Ministers. NATIONAL GOVERNMENT APPEAL LAUNCHED Received Sunday, 7.30 p.m. PARIS, March 12. The Socialist National Council voted by 6576 votes to 1684 in favour of a National Government following an ap peal by M. Blum. The Conferedation of Labour has launched an appeal throughout France in favour of the collaboration of all parties.
