13-year-old Boy Killed

CAE TRAGEDY IN NORTH OTAGO per Press Association. DUNEDIN, Last Night. When a motor-car in which he was a passenger overturned on Stevenson’s Hill, Inchholme, North Otago, at 6 o'clock this evening a boy named James William McCurrie, aged 13, son of Sergeant-Major McCurrie, of Oamaru, was killed. The mishap was due to a blowout in one of the front tyres, the car getting out of control. The driver was Charles C. Hood, of Weston, aged 16 years, and there were two other passengers in the car, James Isbister, of Kakanui, and Patrick Learmonth, of Waiareka, who escaped without injury.
