Air Force bombers, assisting the police against 100 Arabs, killed 32 near baled. The encounter began in tho morning, when the troops met a small armed hand attempting to move southward, stopped them and killed one. This was a sequel to snipers attacking the Jewish colony of Mcrchawa. The Jews responded to the snipers’ fire, drawing blood. Bloodhounds followed the trail to Zirian, formerly the scriptural Dezreel, where they smelt out a man who had died of wounds and indicated two others, who were arrest cd. A patrol took prisoner five Arabs at Urtas, near Bethlehem, wearing khaki uniforms under Bedouin cloaks. The Military Court at Haifa sentenced to death two Arabs for carrying rifles. They were captured in an engagement in the Jenin hills, where a British soldier was killed and 100 Arabs killed and taken prisoner.

Accused, in evidence, stated that SCO Arabs had captured them and compelled them to attack the British.
