Feilding Miniature Rifle Club

ANNUAL MEETING There was a good attendance at tho annual meeting of the Feilding Aliniaturo Rifle Club on Thursday night, Air. K. H. Buchanan (president) presiding. Officers were elected as under:— Patron, Hon. J. G. Cobbe, M.P.; president, Air. J. Craig; vice-presidents, Messrs R. H. Buchanan, E. B. Cook and H. Simmopds, iu addition to those of the previous year; secretary and treasurer, Air. G. AV. Bramwell; assistant-, secretary, Air. N. Rosoman; committee, Alessrs J. Aitken, C. Aitken, H. Bnrwstcr, AV. J. Bray, Iv. Cossar, L. Shailer, C. Thompson, C. AA r ickliam; club captain, Air. N. Rosoman; club coach, Air. J. Craig; assistant coaches, Alessrs R. Paton and J. Aitken. Alessrs L. Shailer and J. Craig were appointed delegates to the ALAI.R.A. annual meeting. Alessrs R. 11. Buchanan and J. Fraser were appointed hon. auditors. It w r as decided that the opening night would be held on Wednesday, Alarcli 23. In a general discussion it was agreed that tho policy of the club would be to encourage new and young members who w r ould be given every assistance and coaching throughout the season. The club placed on record its thanks to Air. J. E. Barltrop for the use of the Brill hall for the meeting, also the Press for liberal support during the past season, and to the past president, Air. Buchanan, for his valuable services, several speakors eulogising his efforts. Following the annual meeting the new

committee met and tho following additional officers were elected: Handicapper, Air. J. Fraser; squadron oflicer, Air. L. Shailer; team selectors, Alessrs H. Brewster, J. Craig, L. Shailer and N. Rosoman; target markers, Alessrs L. Shailer, N. Rosoman, Iv. Cossar and C. Aitken; range officer, Air. H. Brewster; target runner, Air. C. Thompson.

It was decided that every fourth shooting night be devoted to trophy contests.
