“Bon Voyage” Party For Miss E. A. James
The Misses Young, Rangitane street, were hostesses last week at a delightful “bon voyage” party for Miss E. A. James, of Palmerston North, who is leaving shortly on a visit overseas, the company compriuing members of a private bridge club to which Miss James belongs. Miss Young wore a frock of egg-shell blue silk, Miss J. Young wearing navy satin relieved with pink, while the guest of honour had chosen a smart suit of burgundy. The rooms were brightly decorated with belladonna lilies and dahlias, and bridge was enjoyed, also dainty refreshments. During the evening opportunity was taken by Mrs. Mundy to wish Miss James hapj:>y journeyings on behalf of those priisent and to ask her acceptance of a cruise diary, Miss James feelingly expressing her thanks. Miss James lea.ves for Sydney by the Awatea next week en route for England and Wales, her visit combining business with pleasure. She plans to visit the Continent and re turn via America.
