Kowhai Park Pavilion Carnival
LAST NIGHT’S CONCERT Fine, still weather conditions prevailed last evening for the second night of the Feilding Cricket Association’s carnival effort in aid of the funds for the new pavilion for Kowhai Park. The evening’s programme took the form of a concert which proved very entertaining to the large attendance. The programme included items by the girls of the Feilding Agricultural High School, the choir singing being a particularly pleasing number. Those who took part in the singing were Lily Prior, Joan Green, Phyllis Carmine, Noeline Patterson, Ivis Donaldson, Elva and Aletha Raynor, Signa Pearpoint, P e ggy McElroy, Muri McDowall, Norma Sandbrook, Edna Baldoek, Jessie Pettigrew, Kathleen McDonald, Kathleen O’Neil!, Noeline Laug, Ruth Matthews, Vera Matthews, Beth Fergussou, Joyce Sims, Marion Billing, and June Trevena. Another item contributed by the High School girls was a Dutch dance, the performers being Kathleen O’Neill, Ivis Donaldson, Dulcie Thomas and Joyce Stewart.
