“False Rumours” About Jews
ROME OFFERS ITS SOLUTION United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. Received Thursday, 6.30 p.m. LONDON, Feb. 16. The Daily Telegraph's Rome correspondent says that a Foreign Office publication states that the Government has no intention of taking political, economic or moral measures against Jews, except those hostile to the regime. It blames foreign newspapers for, false rumours about the Jews' position.
It adds: “The Government believes the Jewish problem can be solved only by the creation of a Hebrew State, but not in Palestine. This State, by means of diplomatic, and consular agents, would watch over the interests of Jews living elsewhere.
