Milson
From Our Ov/n Correspondent. The monthly meeting of the Milson school committee was held on Saturday evening. Members present were Messrs Thompson (chairman), Richmond, Johnston, Olliver and Robertson (secretary. The roll is now 11S, Eighteen pupils left at the end of the j r ear and five have been admitted. Mrs Re ss has been appointed as supernumerary and at present she has charge of a class in the shelter shed. Arrangements have been made to enable the children to use the Terrace End baths on four days, between 1 and 2 p.m. During the vacation the school has been renovated inside and out. It was decided to send a letter of thanks to the Railway Football Club for their donation. Arrangements are well in hand for the school picnic, which will be held at the Y.M.C.A. camping grounds a t Pohangina on Saturday next. The conmittee desire to make it clear that no responsibility will be taken for children who are unaccompanied by one parent. Messrs Thompson and Johnston were appointed a postponement committee. The meeting decided that arrangements for a vaudeville entertainment in aid of school funds, drawn up and submitted by Mr Frank Brown. Milson line, be accepted with thanks, but owing to other functions in town this concert be held over until March. ,
