America will oppose the biennial Davis Cup move, despite Britain’s surprising support of Germany. The United States maintains that such a move would reduce interest and the level >f playBRITAIN’S PROPOSAL LONDON, Feb. 15. The council of the Lawn Tennis Association has instructed its delegates to the international conference to support the proposal that the Davis Cup competition should be biennial and not annual.
