Indian Hockey Tourists

PRINCE TO LEAD TEAM Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. The Manavadar State hockey team, which is to tour New Zealand during the coming winter, will bo led by the ruling prince of the State. Advice to this effect has been received by Mr. W. H. Down, secretary of the New Zealand Hockey Association. The prince, Nawab Gulam Moinnuddin Khan WaliRipasat of Manavardar, will be accompanied by his private secretary and two personal attendants. He is president of the Manavadar Hockey Association. A very powerful team should reach New Zealand in Mav.

Contrary to earlier reports, the selection of the side will not be confined to Manavadar, the prince himself is endeavouring to co-opt the best players ia India. It is probable that several members of the side which toured New Zealand in 1935 will be included in the team. Twenty-nine games, including three tests, will be played.
