POOREST POLLING ON RECORD Out of 6318 residents of Palmerston North entitled to vote as ratepayers, only 498 took sufficient interest in the City Council’s £IO,OOO sewer loan proposal yesterday, to record their votes. The loan was approved by 330 votes to 168. Details of the voting were as follows:

sewer mains in College street, along portions of Ferguson street and Botanical road, the present sewer having been condemned as unsafe owing to cracked and broken pipes.
