WELLINGTON, Last Night. The recent depression is passing away eastwards, and an anti-cyclone of moderate intensity is approaching the Dominion. Winds: South-westerly to southerly prevailing, strong on parts of the east coast south of Cook Strait, but decreasing and otherwise light to moderate. Seas (New Zealand waters): Rather rough about Cook and Foveaux Straits, and rising somewhat south of Castlepoint; elsewhere slight to moderate. Eastern Tasman; Light to moderate southerly winds, with slight to moderate seas. Weather: A few isolated showers at first, more especially in eastern districts, but otherwise weather fair to fine. Temperatures: Cool. YESTERDAY’S WEATHER Auckland: Rain, cairn. Hamilton: Overcast, calm. New Plymouth: Rain, calm. Gisborne: Overcast, calm. Napier: Overcast, calm. Palmerston North: Overcast, calm. Masterton: Overcast, calm. Wellington: Overcast, light wind. Blenheim: Cloudy, light breeze. Nelson: Cloudy, light wind. West Coast: Sunshine, light wind. Christchurch: Cloudy, calm. Timaru: Overcast, light wind. Dunedin: Rain, calm. Invercargill: Cloudy, light wind.
