DESCRIPTION BY ART GALLERIES DIRECTOR
United Press Association— Br Hlsctrlo Telegraph.—Copyright. Received Tuesday, 9 p.m. LONDON, Feb. 15.
German secret police searched the houses of several directors of art galleries in Berlin and elsewhere following the publication in a French magazine of a report of the Berlin Art Congress, when Herr Hansen, director of the Kaiser Friedrich Museum, described Rembrandt as a “ghetto painter,” and advocated the removal of his pictures from the German galleries, reports the Berlin correspondent of the Telegraph. Herr Hansen’s remains produced loud protests, seven directors walking out. Their houses were searched; owing to the police believing that one of them had sent the account to France. The directors have strongly protested to the Education Minister. »*****m*«m**»**Mm»<
