Waituna West
From Our Own Correspondent. Coming of Age Party. An enjoyable time was spent at Waituna West on Tuesday evening. February S, the occasion being the comlng-of-age of Ivan, only son of Mr and Mrs J. Old, of Dunolly. Guests from surrounding districts assembled, and dancing waß enjoyed by the younger members of the party, while many preferred cards. During supper, which was artistically set oiit on tables in the main hall, the usual toasts were honoured and Mr Old Senr. thanked all for coming along and making the party such a happy one. The 21 candles were lit on the beautifully decorated birthday cake, made by Mrs Jamieson, of Martinborough, au it of the guest of honour.. The duties of M.C. were carried out by Mr D. C. Old.
