17 HASTINGS DWELLINGS

From Our Own CorresDOzxi&at. HASTINGS, Feb. 35. The erection of a further 17 dwellings under the State Housing Scheme in Hastings has been authorised, according to information received this morning by Mr. E. L. Cullen, M.P., from the Hon. J. A. Lee, Undersecretary of Housing. Included in this latest batch of Government houses is a four-unit house. Mr. Cullen was advised that tenders are to be called for nine single-unit houses, two two-unit houses and one four-unit house, a total of 17, to be erected on property pul-chased by the State in Riverslea and Willowpark roads. The construction of these dwellings will be under three contracts, and tenders will close on March 8 next.
