Pretty Feilding Wedding

YOUNG—WILLIAMS, A quiet but pretty wedding was solomnised at St. John’s Church, Feilding, on January 25, when Caroline Annie, daughter of Mr and Mrs W. Williams, of Te Awa, Feilding, was married to Alfred Vincent, son of Mr and Mrs W. H. H. Young, of Stratford. The bride, who entered the church with her father, looked charming wearing a trained gown of ivory satin, cut on slim-fitting lines. Her dainty embroidered veil, which was lent by her sister, Mrs C. Pain, was held in. place with a coronet of orange blossom, and she carried a beautiful shower bouquet of lilies, cream rose-buds, gypsophila, and asparagus fern. Rev. F. E. Fleury was the officiating minister, and Mr Golding played the wedding music. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Doris Williams, who wore a trained frock of shell pink silk gorgette, cut on slim-fitting lines similar to that of the bride. She wore a coronet of pearls, and from under her frock peeped silver sandals. She carried a bouquet of pink gladoli, rosebuds, and asparagus ferns.

Tho duties of best man were carried out by the bridegroom’s brother, Mr Jim Young. As the bride left the church she was presented with a lucky borse-shoo by her small niece, Yvonne Williams.

After the ceremony the bride’s parents entertained their guests at a reception held at the Carlton Tea Rooms, Feilding, Mrs Williams wearing a smart ensemble of blue and fawn, with hat to tone. She carried a posy of blue cornflowers, agapantha and asparagus fern.

Mrs Young, mother of the bridegroom, chose a black and floral frock, oyer which she wore a brown fur coat, with a black straw hat. Her shoulder spray was composed of pink roses and maidenhair fern.

When Mr and Mrs Young later left by car on their honeymoon, the latter was wearing a coronation blue ensemble trimmed with white accessories to tone, and carried a fur stole.

Their future homo wilL be in the Stratford district.
