Friendly Societies’ Picnic

On Saturday the annual picnic of the United Friendly Societies was held at (Carnival Park, Pahiatua. The day was ideal, bright sunshine with a light breeze blowing, and the native bush I which surrounds the park made a cool and pleasurable resort for the pic- . nickers. | A number of lollie scrambles, competitions and races were held which were 4 enjoyed by the many children present, and a very happy time was spent by all.
