More Rain The recent anti-cyclone is now moving away eastwards of the North Island and a rather deep westerly depression is approaching across the Tasman Sea. Winds: Northerly moderate to strong generally and rising to gale force at places south of New Plymouth and Castlepoint; later backing to westerly and in places temporarily to southwesterly in the southern portion of the South Island.
