Palmerston North Branch Of the Plunket Society
REPORT ON DOMINION COUNCIL i MEETING The monthly meeting of tho Palmerston North branch of tho Plunket Society was held in the City Council chambers yesterday afternoon, Miss M. .McLagan presiding. Also present were I Mesdames A. Coombs (president), A. E. ■Mansford, H. B. Free, A. Ferguson, G. 1 C. Petersen, T. .T. Rodgers, G. Halse, ( R. T. Tidswell, W. G. Black and M. | jAitchison (secretary*). | Apologies were received from Mcsdaraes L. H. Collinson and Iv. Garland. Tho secretary presented the financial statement and the accounts were passed for payment. Mrs. G. C. Petersen read a report of tho half-yearly meeting of the Dominion Council, which was followed with keen interest. Plunket Nurse’s Report. The Plunket nurse (Miss A. M. j Kearns) reported that during the month 15D visits had been paid to homes and * visits to ofiico totalled 1300 (adults 645, babies 590, older children 05). There ■were 33 new cases. Parcels of clothing from the Manawatu Ladies’ Club, Mesdamcs Brien, E. Graham, G. Halse and R. Burnett ! were gratefully' acknowledged. Fivo visits had been paid to Foxton, where two visits were paid to homes and visits to office totalled 213 (babies 92, adults 105, older children 16). Six new cases were added to the books. Sales for the month of Karilac, Karil, etc., amounted to £l3 3s Bd, while membership fees were received from Mrs. Taylor ss, Mrs. W. R. Proctor ss, Mrs. M. Corry ss, Mrs. E. A. Gardiner ss, Mrs. R. D. Looney ss, Mr. Werry 10s, Mrs. N. Smith ss, Mrs. R. Garner 10s. These amount-?, together with £1 12s 7d accrued from the collection box, brought tho total receipts to £l7 6s 3d.!
