Eeccivod Thursday, 11.25 p.m. SYDNEY, June 24. i As regards the libel and slander action tho Australian Provincial Assurance versus the Colonial Mutual Life, jit is now disclosed that, when matter I came before acting-Justico Owen on Tuesday, defendant’s solicitor, Air. R. C. Cook, read a notice and apology in which the Colonial Mutual Life Assurance Society, Limited, withdrew and re--1 pudiated all the statements published in the railways journal Railroad, aud I expressed regret for them, j lu addition defendants acknowledged that the Australian Provincial Assurance Association, Limited, “is one of the companies approved by the railway commissioners for group assurance of its employees.”
