Pahiatua’s Water Supply

SPECIAL MEETING CALLED. On Wednesday evening a special meeting was called to consider the reports of the waiter diviner on his various activities about Pahiatua. Those present were: The Mayor (Mr. J. D. Wilson), Crs. W. A. Carthew, W. T. Brown, S. Judd, T. W. Watts, J. W. Sturton and D. Moriarty. An apology was received from Cr. S. K. Siddells. The outcome of the meeting was a resolution to discontinue the Sowrv spring proposal and to explore the possibility of erecting the underground chamber at tho foot of the hills on the Balfour Estate as far as the Health Department and the trustees of tho latter are concerned.
